Alle ore 18.30 di Giovedì 2 Aprile 2009, presso lo Spazio Isarte (Via Garibaldi, 2 – Milano), inaugurazione di “Urban Solitude - Lucamaleonte solo show”. Si tratta della prima personale di uno dei più originali stencil artist internazionali, la cui opera si è già fatta apprezzare in giro per il mondo. Artista nato sulle strade di Roma con sticker e poster, Lucamaleonte ha sperimentato una particolarissima trama compositiva che si esprime “di taglio e di pittura”, con lame e bombolette spray.


A Milano ci riporta frammenti di una strada silenziosa, quella strada che tutto vede e tutto tace. Quindici tele che raccontano la “presenza scenica e coreografica del panorama urbano”, vissuto ed osservato con la passione dell'artista e il disincanto del ricercatore. Quello che emerge sono delle sacche di solitudine e chiusura, dove si percepisce forte “l’impossibilità di accedere alla vita che dentro si nasconde e trascorre”. Un paesaggio immobile, testimone del lato più sincero e crudele di ogni storia. Unico compagno di viaggio quindi, l'occhio della strada, che sospende ogni giudizio, gravita e resta in bilico.


Lucamaleonte sbarca a Milano dopo un lungo giro che soltanto nel 2009 l'ha portato a Berlino, a Londra e in Australia, dove sta partecipando a ‘Your kid can’t do this‘, una collettiva che raccoglie alcuni fra i migliori stencil artist internazionali.

BIOGRAFIA:

Lucamaleonte è nato a Roma nel 1983, dove vive e lavora. Laureato all’Istituto Centrale per il Restauro, è attivo nel campo della StencilArt dal 2001.

È entrato a contatto con la street art realizzando stencil sui muri di Roma, approdando in poco tempo alla produzione di opere più elaborate dipinte su tela.

Ha sviluppato uno stile molto personale, ottenendo stencil elaborati a più livelli realizzando immagini con una resa quasi fotografica.

Ha partecipato, nel corso degli anni a diverse esposizioni sia in gallerie italiane, sia all’estero (Stati Uniti, Australia...), come il Can’s Festival di Londra nel 2008, Nix Krise a Berlino nel 2009, e nello stesso anno via Bricklane, a Londra e Your Kid Can’t Do This, in Australia; ha collaborato con il collettivo francese Stencil History X con il quale ha esposto in diverse città europee, come Berlino, Londra, Parigi e Barcellona.

In collaborazione con Sten e Lex, Lucamaleonte è impegnato anche nell’organizzazione, di eventi legati alla street art, come l’International Poster Art, mostra internazionale di poster, giunta ormai alla terza edizione.

Ha aperto nell’inverno del 2008 Off the Street, uno studio-galleria a Roma, nel quartiere di S.Lorenzo e sta attualmente lavorando per la realizzazione della mostra personale Urban Solitude in programma per l’aprile 2009 a Milano
